Steve+Jenessa=Married

Colorado Springs, CO – How do I even begin to describe a couple like Steve and Jenessa? A couple who compliments one another so well! Where he leaves off, she begins. Where she leaves off, he picks up. And that’s how it should be! Steve and Jenessa, you are amazing and I am so thankful and honored to have been a part of your day. Your families loves you both so much and it was great to see everyone cheering you on. Here’s some of my favorites from the day. Her wedding dress was amazing and so was the church. The wedding party. Just married. 🙂 We always get someone in each wedding party that gets some serious air! Love it !:) I wish you both the very best in life. May Christ always be at the center of your marriage and your hearts. I hope you’re enjoying Mexico!!

Jessica + Kim = Married

I’m so behind on blogging it’s not even funny! Last week I upgraded my computer for many reasons, the biggest one being that I needed more space. Well, the new laptop went from good (it had a pink cover!) to bad (it didn’t work) early last week so we spent all day backing everything up and talking to Dell for 10 hours… yeah. No fun! So, I’m behind on blogging this amazing wedding from the Saturday before last as well as a wedding from last Saturday and a family shoot. The good news is, the computer is fixed so now life can move on. Colorado Springs, CO – Jessica and Kim had their ceremony at the Three Graces at Garden of the God’s. Perfect fall weather! They are a great couple who not only compliment one another so well, but they have an amazingly supportive family who were incredibly kind and made me feel so welcome during my day with them. A little getting ready shots: This locket was passed down in the family and has been in three weddings. The moment when he first saw his daughter prior to the ceremony. It was a great moment. He was so […]

I love it when my clients see the location of a previous shoot and want their photos taken there as well. That being the case, I’ve been spending a few days on the train tracks. 🙂 This family is great. They are spunky and full of life and they are always laughing! We’d been trying to take these photos for a few weeks, but things kept coming up with the kids so we kept pushing it back. She was thrilled to finally get them done with nothing happening out of the ordinary and it even happened to be a perfect day. A day or two later she sent me an email saying how thankful she was we got them taken when we did because her youngest daughter got a hold of an eletric shaver and shaved a large stripe down the middle of her hair… yeah, I know. I feel her pain. Nonetheless, they are still a beautiful family! The guys. The girls. Thanks again guys!! I had a blast! 🙂

Karl loves Amy

You might remember this couple from here. Not only do I love them because they let me pick the locations for their shoots no matter how off the wall they are, but they also are our friends that we followed here from Las Vegas last January. I mean seriously, they even came back to Las Vegas just to help us drive the 13 hours in -3 degree weather, snow and ice just to help us move. Can’t ask for a better friends than that! And guess what! They recently welcomed a new addition to their family! Meet Hurley… We took Hurley out to the park in the morning (38 degrees! Brr!) then brought him back home before we headed out to a few other locations. I’m sorry you guys are so good looking. 🙂 You guys are the best. Love ya! : )

Julie + Jeremy

I love doing engagement photos. It give me a chance to get to know the couple before the wedding and it gives them a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and also with the way I shoot. I really enjoyed hanging out with Julie and Jeremy at The Broadmoor this evening and am looking forward to their wedding this February! Here are just a few of my favorites from this evening that I have edited. My favorite. 🙂 My other favorite. I can have two. 🙂 And yes, her eyes are really that awesome blue color. No Photoshop there. Okay, this one above is another favorite. 🙂 This isn’t posed. They were just waiting for people to pass by in between shots and I caught this. Love it. They are so cute. 🙂 Thanks guys for braving the cold weather! I am super excited for your February wedding! 🙂 See you soon!

My assistant Edi lives a street or two away from me. Now that all the leaves are falling, she wanted to bring her kiddos out to get a few shots before the leaves blow away and the snow comes AND also to get some shots done for Christmas cards. Seeing that it was 29 degress out this morning when I woke up, I know the snow will be here soon! Anyway, we had fun nonetheless.

Rob + Chelley = Married

Colorado Springs, CO- What a wedding! Last Friday night was a great night spent with awesome people. I have been looking forward to Rob and Chelley’s wedding for months and it turned out fantastic. They were married at Hillside Gardens here in Colorado Springs. A little of the getting ready… Buzzing Bee Florist did all their flowers and they were off the hook a-ma-zing! Despite a moment or two with some lightening, the weather was perfect. Chelley’s beautiful, she has a great personality and she’s really funny. Rob is a no nonsense, witty sense of humor kinda guy. They make a perfect match. 🙂 Details…. I love them. I think they said they were Cubs fans, but I can’t remember. 🙂 (Just kidding Rob!). Creative Cakes by Carol did an great job on the cake. I get to try a lot of cakes and this one was exceptionally tasty and beautiful! The bar at Hillside Gardens at the end of the night. Thanks so much Rob and Chelley for including me on your day. I have really enjoyed getting to know you both over the past few months. 🙂 Enjoy your time in Hawaii and I’ll see you when you […]

Patrick loves Lauri

I love couples like these two. They are so much fun to be around! I first met Lauri when we were going over wedding packages and rather than shaking my hand to introduce herself she said “We give hugs around here”. It’s so hard not to want to be friends with someone like that! 🙂 Her only request was that we hit up Lovers Lane in Manitou Springs. His only request was that we had a photo taken by the “Kissing Camels”. Done and done. 🙂 Can you find the kissing camels in this next one? They brought me to the church where they are getting married at next summer and it has the best red door… 🙂 Lovers Lane. 🙂 Thanks guys for such a fun morning! Looking forward to next June!

Kevin + Valerie = Married

We’ve had amazingly beautiful fall weather here in the springs the past few weeks. Last Sunday for Kevin and Valerie’s wedding in Green Mountian Falls it was a great mix of sunshine, rain and thunder and lightening… it was beautiful… and I think the weather being the way it was tied their “fall” wedding together perfectly. Valerie was the most organized bride! Love it! 🙂 The guys looked great in the tux’s and even baby had stylin’ shoes! 🙂 A ring shot that included the whole family. Thanks Kevin and Valerie for including me in your day! It was so great to meet you both and your amazingly kind families! 🙂 Best wishes to you both.
