San Diego, California – This past Friday I flew out to San Diego to photograph my first wedding of 2009! It was an amazing weekend spent with wonderful people and equally wonderful weather. But really, it was all about Aubrey and Kurt. I met them almost a year ago while Aubrey worked for a local bank. I did their engagement photos that March and May and then they decided they wanted to fly me to California for their wedding (yay!) and since that point, they have become such good friends of ours and we felt so blessed to be a part of their special day. Saturday we started really early with Aubrey getting her hair and make up done while the guys had breakfast and got ready at a separate location. This morning we woke up at 5am (ouch!) to head to the beach to catch the sunrise. I was looking forward to this part of the weekend for so long! Let me tell you, it was well worth getting up at 5pm to catch the amazing sunrise and fog coming across the pacific ocean.
So without further ado, here’s just some of my favorites. I edited a few on the flight home so I might as well share them with you! =)
Soon to be Mrs. Brown. 🙂
Gotta get the shoes. 🙂
Hello, beautiful!
Meanwhile, the guys were getting ready…
These guys have known one another for a loooong time. They have some great stories. 🙂
This was such a great moment between mother and son. She was singing him the words to the song they were dancing to. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
The groom got some air on this one!
There was some great dancing. 🙂
Then…. this morning we took these on the beach. This was a Mess the Dress session and it was so much fun.
Congrats, Kurt and Aubrey. May God always be at the center of your marriage and your heart. We love you guys and are so thankful to have you in our life. 🙂 Enjoy your honeymoon!!

Awesome awesome. My fav is the one of her sitting on the bridge and it being all foggy around her. Beautiful! Great job!
Thanks Irene! I love that one too! It was so cool to have all that fog! Just an hour later and it would have been gone. 🙂
