Marissa and Doug (married) Colorado Springs, CO

I’m going to be totally and completely honest. Marissa and Doug are one of the kindest, grace-filled couples I have been blessed with over these past 10 years. It all began last February when I called Marissa crying because I found out I was pregnant (with my last and final child) and wouldn’t be able to photograph her wedding. I told her I had my business partner Samantha who would do an amazing job, or I would let her go and she could find another photographer. I was crossing my fingers she would stay with us because I really mean it when I say they are an wonderful couple. I wouldn’t be posting this if she went elsewhere. She stayed and Samantha and Laura did a stunning job on her photos. Big props go to Marissa and Doug for all their planning and coordinating of the details. From the dress to the tiniest details of what was hanging from the chandeliers during the reception, it all tied together. Those are the best weddings to photograph and I loved editing every minute of them.

Samantha and Laura took all the photos, I edited them and sent them off and I hope they are enjoying them as they get settled in their new destination location as a married couple. Thank you, Marissa and Doug for your grace and your trust. Clients like you are hard to find and you were beyond patient with me — for that, I am so very thankful. I adore these shoes. I could stare at them all day, every day and wear them with jeans and pajamas…. I love them that much.

Brides, one big piece of advice… pick a GREAT “getting ready” location. It makes such a big difference in your photos! A location with lots of natural light and great colors… oh, and lots of space for your family and bridesmaids to be there too. We love this location Marissa picked!
