Morgan and Gentry – engagement

Morgan and Gentry met in high school so it was only appropriate to start their photo shoot there. They have long graduated, but it was fun to come back and for them to show me where their journey together began. I’m very much looking forward to their wedding this summer! Then we headed over to Garden of the Gods for a better view. It was an incredible day. I love our clouds here in Colorado! Thanks guys for a great afternoon! See you in a few months!

Rachelle and Marty (engagements)

I met Rachelle for the first time a few weeks back when we met to do this photo session. I had heard how sweet and wonderful of a person she was through a mutual friend and finally after two years of hearing about her, we finally got the chance to meet once she became engaged! We headed over to Garden of the Gods and thankfully, had nice weather. Spring in Colorado is always unpredictable in regards to weather, but we had a great time! I did this shoot at 38 weeks pregnant, but figured since Rachelle is a labor and delivery nurse I was in good hands if anything happened. Sadly for me, we’re almost at 40 weeks and still waiting, but at least I got to hang out with a fun couple in the meantime. 🙂 I love my job!!

Angela & Chris – Wedding

I think the hardest thing about being a wedding photographer is that every wedding I photograph, I always see something that I wish I had done at my own wedding. If I got the chance to marry my husband all over again, I would pretty much take all of Angela and Chris’ ideas and use them in mine too! I loved the way they put everything together from the dress, shoes, flowers, reception site… I loved it all. Angela and Chris got married last month and had their ceremony at a local Catholic Church followed by a reception on the 3rd floor of Phantom Canyon Brewing Co. When they booked me about a year ago and told me that their reception was being held there, I was counting down the days until their wedding. I hadn’t ever done a reception there, but I knew it had awesome potential — it didn’t disappoint! Angela got ready in the Governors Suite in the Antlers Hilton with an beautiful view of downtown Colorado Springs on a sunny summer day. After their ceremony, we loaded up and drove to Garden of the Gods where we took more photos. I decided I’m going to look […]

Samantha & Jason

Samantha and Jason had a mid-morning wedding at Garden of the Gods followed by the reception at the Cadet Lodge at the Air Force Academy since he just graduated. The weather that day was perfect — because you never know here in Colorado — and they both looked fantastic! The beautiful bride The handsome groom Cool story about the cake — Jason actually designed it and both Samantha and Jason made the cake topper. Hats off to them for their creativity and also to Boonzaaiher’s for following their design and making this awesome cake! Samantha and Jason, I wish you both the very best in your move and for all the years to come as husband and wife. It was a pleasure getting to know you both and I hope our paths cross again soon! 🙂

Jeff & Carolyn – Engaged

I had fun this past Thursday with Carolyn and Jeff on the SW part of town. They are getting married this August and thankfully we finally had a day with some sunshine after the past few weeks have been filled with snow and rain. Hopefully all this cold weather is gone for a few months because it’s wedding season! They wanted to go to The Broadmoor for their photos because that’s where they had their first date — no problem there! Here’s a few of my favorites from their shoot. 🙂 I love this rocking chair one… 🙂 The fire pit where they sat on their first date. 🙂 Love it. 🙂 You know I’m a big fan of flair… 🙂 Yummy light. 🙂 Her only request was to get a shot with Pikes Peak in the background. Done and done. 🙂 Looking forward to August! 🙂

Jayla & Kyle – Engagements

If these photos don’t make you smile, I don’t know what will. Their smiles are contageous and they love. love. love. one another. 🙂 I love it! They are getting married this July and I am so excited for them. Thanks guys! I had a great afternoon with you. 🙂 Looking forward to July!

Brian + Tiffany = Engaged!!

I met Brian and Tiffany once before very quickly but this time around I really got to spend some time getting to know them better at Garden of the Gods. They are planning on getting married next August. Here’s some of my favorites from the day. Favorite. 🙂 They are so cute together and their smiles are so genuine. 🙂 I love it. Thanks guys for trekking through all different types of terrain for the shoot and in heels nonetheless! I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with you both! Enjoy the wedding planning!

Jessica + Kim = Married

I’m so behind on blogging it’s not even funny! Last week I upgraded my computer for many reasons, the biggest one being that I needed more space. Well, the new laptop went from good (it had a pink cover!) to bad (it didn’t work) early last week so we spent all day backing everything up and talking to Dell for 10 hours… yeah. No fun! So, I’m behind on blogging this amazing wedding from the Saturday before last as well as a wedding from last Saturday and a family shoot. The good news is, the computer is fixed so now life can move on. Colorado Springs, CO – Jessica and Kim had their ceremony at the Three Graces at Garden of the God’s. Perfect fall weather! They are a great couple who not only compliment one another so well, but they have an amazingly supportive family who were incredibly kind and made me feel so welcome during my day with them. A little getting ready shots: This locket was passed down in the family and has been in three weddings. The moment when he first saw his daughter prior to the ceremony. It was a great moment. He was so […]

Patrick loves Lauri

I love couples like these two. They are so much fun to be around! I first met Lauri when we were going over wedding packages and rather than shaking my hand to introduce herself she said “We give hugs around here”. It’s so hard not to want to be friends with someone like that! 🙂 Her only request was that we hit up Lovers Lane in Manitou Springs. His only request was that we had a photo taken by the “Kissing Camels”. Done and done. 🙂 Can you find the kissing camels in this next one? They brought me to the church where they are getting married at next summer and it has the best red door… 🙂 Lovers Lane. 🙂 Thanks guys for such a fun morning! Looking forward to next June!
